About Us

The Wild Rivers Music Festival is a one-day music extravaganza on the Southern Oregon Coast. The festival is scheduled from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017 within the forested, intimate amphitheater in Azalea Park, the crown jewel of the city of Brookings. The amphitheater is limited to about 1,000 people. Fans are invited to bring their blankets and low-back folding chairs. No pets and no outside food and alcohol allowed. Nearby KidTown playground and a barbecue area offers fun for families. Parking is free. There is no on-site camping.

Lodging is available at the many hotels, motels, RV parks and state campgrounds. Advance reservations recommended.

The festival will feature non-stop music with four nationally-touring artists — Keith Greeninger, Achilles Wheel, Castletown and the Rogue Suspects — that play a variety of music styles including bluegrass, folk, Celtic, Americana, jazz, funk and rock. Local artists Toni Land and Second Bridge will perform between the major acts. Several regional breweries will be on hand to sell delicious microbrews and wine. The area’s best restaurants will offer delicious foods and snacks.

Brookings is a quaint, oceanside town located about two hours from major Oregon cities such as Medford and Coos Bay, and Eureka, California. Brookings is nestled among Oregon’s pristine rivers, forests and rugged beaches, and is a short drive to the destination cities of Gold Beach and Port Orford, and the famous California redwoods near Crescent City, Calif.

The festival is presented by Stagelights Musical Arts Community, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity, which promotes music education and outreach in the local schools and communities. Revenue from the festival is used to grow the music festival each year, and to fund other music endeavors such as our “Music in the Classroom” program. More information about our events and activities can be found at www.stagelights.us.
